Biography

Masaki Hayashi received his B.S., M.S. and Dr. Eng. in electronics engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1980, 1983 and 1999 respectively. He had worked at NHK Science & Technology Research Laboratories from 1986 to 2006. He was also a guest associate professor in the graduate school of Information Science and Engineering at Tokyo Institute of Technology from 2000 to 2003. After the career as a director and a research fellow, he is now a senior lecturer of Uppsala University, Campus Gotland in Sweden and a technical adviser of Astrodesign, Inc. as well as working for several research organizations. His research goal is to establish Automatic Animation Generation using T2V (Text-To-Vision) technology which is based on TVML (TV program Making Language) invented by himself in 1996. He has also started recently a new research theme: Virtual museum with 4K/8K ultra-high-resolution real-time computer graphics. He is expertise in Computer graphics, Digital content creation technology, Image compositing system, Image processing, Digital signal processing, Web-based content creation and Internet technology.
